Want a good life? Have great friends

Life isn’t perfect…

Oh far from it.

But I’m guessing you already know that.

Well don’t you?

We all have days…or weeks…or even months that might feel that life itself is pretty crappy.

And you know what…during those times you are probably very correct.

Now I’m going to be honest with you here…because you see I’ve been going through a period for several months in which life has been pretty crappy for me.

Oh yea…I spew all the time about how to be happy and joyful and all of that. But honestly life does throw us curve balls sometimes.

Sometimes those curve balls are due to our own decision making processes and sometimes they just come out of nowhere.

And it can be mighty tough to deal with…especially when we are alone.

But man oh man…that is where having a great group of friends come in.

While they may not have seen me at my worst they are aware that I have been going through some bad stuff lately. And in many little ways they have been there for me…and I so love them for that.

Oh my gosh…what the hell do you do without friends?

Well in my book that is when life gets really ugly!

Having a great group of friends is so damn important to living Joyfully Solo…don’t you think?

Isn’t it time that you took a good hard look at your friends? Who is really there for you? Do you have friends that you can call in the middle of the night? Do you have toxic friends? What do you do about those negative people in your life?

Seriously…having the right people as friends is so very important. They need to be supportive and positive and they need to be people that will be honest with you – yep whether you want that or not.

So what about your friends? Are they there for you when you need them? Are you there for them when they need you? Are they positive and upbeat? Do they tell you shit that maybe you don’t want to hear…but really need to?

Just a little something to think on today.

Joyfully yours,
